Just a short post here.. Today, hubby had his hair cut really short in preparation for his reservist. Zhirui cried when she saw his new look. Tink it's becos she couldn't recognise him & tot Daddy was a stranger! haha.. :D
After a few moments, she reconciled to Daddy's new image but was still teary when she looked at him.. :(
Zhirui has been delighting us with her acquirement of language. Before memory fails me, it's better i quickly enter this blog about her first words.. :P
According to my husband, she blurted 'Ma Ma' at 8 months. (hmm.. so young meh??) Well anyway, what I do remember quite clearly was that at 10 months, she repeated 'red' after me during our reading time. I tot i was dreaming! Subsequently. she has spoken 'yellow', 'blue', 'green' before my husband. Genius!
Proudly bracing her 11th month, she further amazed us with words like 'flower', 'pen', 'bus', 'car'..
At this point, I reminded myself not to be obsessed. More imptly, it's about making use of language proficiency to deliver joy, peace & enlightenment to herself & others. :)
We attended Xiujun's wedding at HortPark last Sunday. Dressed Zhirui in a pink dress. It is a lovely place and we took nice pics. Ruiqin got a cute nick that evening.. haha.. Uncle SpongeBob. :D

Last Sat, we took Zhirui with us to TG for DJZYS. Zhirui was the observer as I underwent the sutra recital test. She was very quiet and I could see from the corner of my eyes that she was in fact listening attentively as I recite the sutras. Seemingly, she knew that she should be respectful at that point in time. I'm truly proud of her for this good behaviour! :)
Zhirui's got a new friend. 小叮当! She loves finding him among her pile of pillows and blanket. And their all-time fav game is hide & seek.
Doo doo da.. Doo doo daa.. zhirui's first music composition. Inspired by her ah-gong who taught her to 'drum' her lips. hmm.. see if we can get to record it down one day.
Gee.. I can't imagine I'm writing a blog now. Being a verbally unexpressive person (my husband knows too well), it can be quite a hurdle to start opening up to the cyber mass. Hopefully my often dull expressions of tots and stuff won't kill this new-found joy of writing about my daughter.
Ah.. my darling girl, fondly called Ya Tou or Fo zi bao bao is the spark of this blog. She's already 10months old. :) I regret not starting this blog earlier to cast the growing-up spits and laughters of Zhirui into memory.
So I guess in my coming blogs, will try to capture whatever morsel memory of zhirui's growing up, maybe right from pregnancy..
